Training And Support On Equipment, Patient Protocols, And Setting Up Your Office
Proper training on the balance assessment and audiology equipment and in identifying and treating patients who are at increased risk of falling are essential to a successful Fall Prevention program. Involutions periodically conducts extensive 4-day training programs at one of our training facilities. Enrollment is open to clients purchasing equipment from Involutions or other suppliers. Specific equipment covered includes Videonystagmography (VNG), Posturography, and the Caloric Stimulator. Other topics covered include
  • Extensive background information on VNG (videonystagmography)/balance testing and interpretation of data.
  • Hands-on training for VNG/balance and fall prevention testing.
  • Hands-on training for VRT (Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy) protocols. Training in medical billing and coding.
  • Case study presentations on VRT.
  • Step by step training (and manual) from testing to marketing.
  • Forms for taking patient histories, etc.
    Support
  • Two-day, on-site installation and hands-on training.
  • Equipment Support—toll free phone line for test interpretation, VRT recommendations, and equipment troubleshooting for 90 days after training program attendance.
  • Office Support —insurance billing assistance (includes Medicare), new patient mailings, office forms, sample policy and procedure information and a 90-day marketing plan (templates for news releases, letters to referral sources, and news paper ads).
  • Patient Support — fall prevention and hearing instrument education and counseling tools, in-office screening tools, and community service fall prevention presentations.
  • Access to sample legal documents for setting up and developing a fall prevention center.
  • Limited recruiting for professional audiologists or hearing instrument specialists.
